About the Unified Exam of General Knowledge in Chemistry

The Unified Exam of General Knowledge in Chemistry (EUQ) is carried out twice a year, through calls, with the objective of evaluating the general knowledge in chemistry of candidates for admission to graduate programs in chemistry.
Certificates are issued with the score of the candidate and used by Graduate Programs in Chemistry that in their selection calls specificity for their use. Each Graduate Programs in Chemistry has the autonomy to use the certificate as one of the requirements in its selection calls in the way that best meets its goals.
EUQ calls will be announced by email to those registered on its website (http://euq.sbq.org.br) and on social networks.
The exams are carried out remotely on the date specified in the call through the TestWe Platform.

Resources needed for the test:

The test will include the Periodic Table and other information necessary for its completion. You will be allowed to use a scratch paper (blank A4 paper, which must be shown to the camera before the start of the exam). The test will be carried out with the TestWe computer app, which allows the use of a computer exclusively for the test. Other computer apps will be blocked during the test. It is mandatory that the computer used has a camera and microphone in good working order. The EUQ will last 4 hours, including the time for submitting the completed test. The submission of the completed test is automatic.
The candidates will receive a welcome e-mail from TestWe one week before the test. An explanatory manual on how to use the TestWe app will be sent to candidates. Mandatory technical test will be carried out for the candidate to test the devices (camera and audio) and become familiar with the TestWe app.

To take the EUQ, the candidate must provide a suitable place to take the test and make sure that:

a) your electronic device (computer) meets the following basic technical requirements: macOS 10.15 (or later) operating system; Windows 10 (or later version);
b) your electronic device (computer) has data processing capacity equal to or greater than the capacity of an Intel core i3 processor;
c) your electronic device (computer) has a random memory (RAM) capacity of at least 4 GB (8 GB recommended);
d) your electronic device (computer) has 2 Gb of free hard disk space;

It is the responsibility of the candidates to provide internet connection service with a minimum speed of 2 Mbps (megabits per second).
The candidate is fully responsible for ensuring the appropriate equipment and the quality of the internet connection to carry out the knowledge test with the platform that will be used for the exam. If the candidate is unable to take or complete the test due to external technical problems, either due to hardware and/or software incompatibilities that compromise the candidate's device connection during the exam, a new knowledge test will not be applied.
